The PBS Academy (the organisation responsible for developing the PBS Competence Framework) is currently working on several sets of standards for PBS. One for service providers, one for training content and one for individuals who provide PBS and PBS training. These will be available late Spring and will be available from http://www.pbsacademy.org.uk. Despite developing these standards, the PBS Academy currently has no authority to ensure these are met but can recommend them as best practice.
Alison Branch and Jill Chaplin have been involved in the working groups writing these standards. The North East and Cumbria Community of Practice will be keen to support their use in order to ensure the quality of provision for people we support.
